Hello Friends! I am trying very hard not to buy too many new stamp sets and craft items. It's just so hard to keep up with the new releases and honestly, I don't get enough use out of the stuff I already have... So you will be seeing a lot of OLD stamp sets etc... hope you will stick around and come back to visit even if you don't see the latest and the best craft products!
Today I decided to open the Irresistibly Yours paper pack from Stampin' Up! that was available during Sale-a-bration. I got it in, then I just put it aside... like so many other things...
The color inspiration came from Just Add Ink: #258: Colour Challenge (Blackberry Bliss, Smoky Slate, Melon Mambo). I don't have Blackberry Bliss, so I used Rich Razzleberry.
CRAFTING TIPS:
- Sponge Melon Mambo and Rich Razzleberry ink on a strip of Irresistibly Yours card stock. Wipe off extra ink.
- Adhere the thin Basic Black strip with Tombo Multipurpose Liquid Glue.
- Stamp the butterfly on Melon Mambo card stock with Rich Razzleberry ink. Punch it out with coordinating punch.
- Use your scrap vellum pieces to punch out little flowers... I have a small tin on my desk with a bunch of flowers in it... before I toss the scrap vellum, I punch out as many flowers out of it as I can.
- When I use the 'sun' image from Kinda Eclectic, I always end up with extra ink on the edges of the clear/cling stamp... I have to remember to wipe it, otherwise I end up with a smudge of ink on the paper...
Thanks so much for stopping by,
Monika

I like to do the same thing with my little scraps, makes it handy when putting a card together, this is just lovely, this color combo is great!

I love seeing your creation whether old stamps or new, they are equally gorgeous! Another beautiful card and love the strip of patterned paper down the side...that's my downfall is the dozens of pads of patterned paper I have.

I love seeing you use products you have on hand. Every day I get online, and I'm tempted to purchase products I cannot afford. Kudos to you, my friend! Your card is beautiful. The pink and gray are such a classy combination, and look so peaceful. Thanks for sharing!

This is so beautiful Monika! I love the way the Sunburst draws me in to the vibrant butterfly! And I must remember your tip about punching flowers from vellum scraps too! Thanks for joining us at Just Add Ink this week :-)

I know I feel guilty for having so many stamps and then not enough time to use them like I would like to. I admire you for taking this stand and will always enjoy your creations - even with older stamps!

I'm so totally with you, Monika! I don't have the money or the time, so it's old stuff for me too. I'll keep visiting 😉
Your card is gorgeous! I love the hot pink with the gray.

I think it is great you are using the supplies you've had. It's so easy to get caught up buying everything new. I've found that older stamps can look totally different with current trendy techniques, too. Your blog is on my Feedly reader and so I catch all your posts. :)
