Hello! I have a pretty butterfly card today. (Couldn't stay away from them too long!). The sketch came from SplitCoast Stampers SC393, color inspiration is from The Shabby Tea Room, #122.
The sketch gave me the perfect reason to finally open my pennants die sets I got a while ago. Since the biggest die is a bit bigger than the standard A2 size card, I just let it hang off the base card on both sides.
Recipe: Butterfly Flourish, Kindness, and Decorative Frame Topper clear stamp sets (Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps)... Kraft (The Paper Company), Pink Pirouette (SU!), designer paper (Recollection by Michael's)... Pink Pirouette and Soft Suede ink (SU!)... Nested Lacey Pennants and Nested Pennants dies (Spellbinders), Sponge Dauber (SU!), Hole punch (Fiskars), Leaf punch (Martha Stewart)... lace, paper flower, pearls, baker's twine, cheese clothes...
Thanks for visiting!
Monika

This is absolutely lovely, and I really adore the simple touch of letting the pennant detail hang over the sides of the card.

What a clever use of that pennant! -- what a great idea! And to make it all girly with your pearlies and butterflies; just gorgeous!
