If you know me, you know that I am a stamper in heart. Don't use a lot of DP... BUT... I am loving these kits with the fabulous designer papers and matching accessories. I don't need to spend time finding things to go together. It's all in the kit. Makes it so easy when you have everything on hand... and the plastic case is just perfect. I can keep my supplies in one place, and move everything if needed... no mess.
The February Kit is full of beautiful designer papers from My Mind's Eye Rosy collection, black pearls, paper flowers, gorgeous matching ribbon and card stock... and a fabulous matching stamp set, Vintage Dreamer. Oh, how pretty it is!
This month's blog hop theme is "Take Note"... so I decided to make some note cards with a cute box to hold them. The sketch for the cover came from Card Patterns Sketch 153.
The box is 4" x 4-1/2". I used an 8-1/2 x 11 card stock to start with... scored at 1-1/2", 2", 6-1/2", and 7", then turned the card stock 90 degrees and scored at 3", 3-1/2", 7-1/2", and 8". Cut the 4 corners away, punched the top flap with MS border punch, then rounded the rest of the corners... I used magnets from BasicGrey.
The 4 note cards are 3-3/4" x 4-1/4". I kept them CAS. Stamped the images and added a 5/8" strips of DP to the top with cream Baker's Twine... Lastly I attached pearls to the note cards.
Other than the February Kit, I used So Saffron, Poppy Parade, Pear Pizzazz, and Early Espresso ink pads from SU!, Baker's Twine, Martha Stewart border punch, and Fiskars Corner punch. Oh, yes, and I did some stitching on the cover...
