Between running around and doing errands, I was able to sit down and make a card yesterday afternoon. I just didn't have time to post it...
Boy, did it take me a long time to finish this! It looks so simple, but let me tell you... the acetate gave me such a hard time... mostly my fault... first I didn't ink the stamp up enough so the image wasn't clear, then my ink got all over the acetate... but... it's done and came out pretty good. What do you think?
I used the technique that Korin had a tutorial on SplitCoast Stampers (SNS Tutorial Tuesday #6-Stained Glass). Such a neat look... hope you give it a try. The sketch came from yesterday's sketch at SCS (SC372).
The image is stamped on Acetate with Black StazOn... then colored with a Copic Marker and Cotton White StazOn. I squeezed StazOn ink on a scrap acetate and used a Q-tip to apply the ink.
Recipe: He Lives clear stamp set (Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps)... White and Black card stock (SU!)... Black and White StazOn, Tuxedo Black Memento ink pad, Copic Marker... Classic embossing folder (Quickutz)... Scallop Rectangle and Rectangle dies (Spellbinders)... Circle punch (SU!)... Cheese cloth, Baker's Twine, Paper Flower...
Thanks for visiting!

Oh Wow it may have been a chore to do but it turned out terrific, love the cheesecloth behind and a great idea to use the white stazon!

This is truly lovely! I think your coloring is great, the decorative elements you've chosen really highlight, rather than distract, the beautiful image.
