Can't believe another year is gone by... Where does time go?

I had the perfect die to use for today's card. I love Tim Holtz dies and was able to put my hands on Weathered Clock. Then, I saw this fab technique by Shelly and just had to try it! I didn't have the distressed embossing pad, so I just used regular ink... but it still looks awesome IRL. I used a bunch of fun stamps and other craft items on this one! I guess you can tell that I like too many different companies and styles. Can't make up my mind! lol...

I have 2 projects going on on my craft table, but had to stop and make a card for today's challenge at SplitCoast Stampers... It's to use beads, and I have tons of them... I didn't do anything fancy, just added it around the frame using Glossy Accent, and on my Twine bow... what do you think?

PTI-December 2011 Blog Hop...

I usually miss PTI's blog hop, but today I caught it on time and was able to make a quick project. As I was cleaning up yesterday after opening presents, I found this big sheet of filler in one of the Amazon boxes. I just didn't have the heart to toss it out... figured I will use it for something. So today, I die-cut some doilies out of the paper, and made this gift card holder. I made one last week for a birthday, and I really liked the presentation... so I decided to make a similar one...

I managed to use a bunch of my PTI stamp sets and dies on this one. It felt good, since lately they've been neglected... What do you think?

I also made a simple little note card that fits inside the glassine bag.

SNSS-Christmas Light...

Good Morning! Tonight is the Night! Christmas Eve is extra special to me. In Hungary we celebrate the greatest gift, the birth of Jesus Christ at Christmas Eve. We'd decorate our tree, have a special meal (fish or some kind of noodle dish), then open presents. It is just so magical doing all of that by the lit up Christmas tree.

I know it is too late for most of you to be making Christmas cards, and mine won't be used this year either. It will be saved for next year. It's never too early to start on your stash, is it?

I went all out on this one and used my favorite little techniques and embellishments. What do you think? The main image is from Christmas Light clear stamp set. I used the matching Christmas Light Candle die to die-cut it. The greeting was stamped on a tag I die-cut using Tim Holtz's Decorative Strip die. In the background I used a book page, a doily, cheesecloth, Studio Calico paints, and rhinestones.

The candle image was colored with Copic Markers, then decorated with more rhinestones and clear Crackle Accent (on the candle). My stars were die cut with Spellbinders dies. The big red star is dry embossed with Textile embossing folder by Cuttlebug. The glitter came from Michael's, one of my clearance finds.

I also did some sponging and distressing. Love to add textures that way to my cards.

Hello Peeps! It's down to the wires now! One more day until Christmas Eve. It's hard to believe that Christmas is here. Time went by so fast this year. Hope you are ready for a Peaceful and Blessed Holiday Season. I am down to my last couple of Christmas cards. One more to come tomorrow and it's back to butterflies and flowers. lol...
