Mojo Thank You...

I was able to sneek into my craft room this morning, so I decided to make a scrappy card. I also wanted to make a circle card. Haven't made it for a while now... and when I saw the new Mojo sketch, #217, I was all set!

I love the pretty papers in the November TE Key Ingredents kit and I knew I wanted to use those. I again, reached for my trusty Discover Your Wings stamp set. Nothing can go wrong using the pretty flower and butterfly images. I stamped the butterfly on vellum this time to give a really fragile and dainty look to it. The greeting is from It's a Banner Day 1 stamp set. Everything, except the Baker's Twine and rhinestones, came from the kit. I covered a chipboard button with blue paper as my embellishment. I also used Pennant Border die (TE), Scallop Circle and Circle dies (Spellbinders).

I love mixing images and making backgrounds. I picked up a new stamp from Michael's the other day (I was eyeing it for the longest time, and when they had it 50% off, I just had to get it-Key Note collage from Stampendous!). So I decided to use that with some other images, and came up with today's card:

SNS-Cozy Friends Shaker card...

Hello Peeps! I hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving day here in the US. We are planning to stay in most of the day. I might venture out to couple of stores in the afternoon, but haven't decided yet!

I have a cute shaker card posted on the Sweet 'n Sassy Blog today. Check it out! I used Cozy Friends clear stamp set. The circle image was perfect for my shaker element. Other than the cutting and working with tiny strips of adhesive, it was pretty easy to make this card. I am loving my new doilies you see showig up on my cards. What do you think?

CAS Season of Love...

Hello Peeps! I feel like I am running out of mojo these days. I have a hard time coming up with ideas, so I decided to keep it simple today. I do need some easy and flat Christmas cards anyways. What do you think? I love the vellum, but because of the heat embossing, it didn't want to lay flat and I didn't want to use adhesive that would show. Oh, well... still looks nice.

I didn't have any room for the greeting, so I just stamped it inside of the card:

TE November Key Ingredients Blog Hop...

Welcome to Taylored Expressions November Key Ingredients Blog Hop. I love these kits with fabulous designer papers and matching accessories. I don't need to spend time finding things to go together. It's all in the kit. Makes it so easy when you have everything on hand... and the plastic case is just perfect. I can keep my supplies in one place, and move everything if needed... no mess.

 

The November Kit is full of beautiful designer papers from Homemade 6 Bean Soup Collection by Jillibean Soup, chipboard buttons, die-cut tags and buttons, and gorgeous matching ribbons.

 

 

I decided to make an altered project. I've got this frame at the $1 store a while ago and figured the fabulous papers from Jillibean Soup would work perfectly for a sewing project. What do you think?

 

 

I used pretty much everything from the Kit. Designer paper, card stock, grosgrain and satin ribbons, chipboard button, and die-cut tags. I used Sew Happy stamp set, Pennant A la Carte stamp set, and Pennant Border die... I also used a doily, burlap, pins, rhinestones, and various wooden accessories, and Baker's Twine to decorate the frame. The base was painted with brown acrylic paint.
