Eastern Origami Box...
This morning I checked out the challenge on SCS again, and I decided to play along. It was to make an origami box with a cover (TLC 203) I love making those origami boxes so I figured it would be easy... well, it would have been, except I wanted to use a border punch so it took me a while to make the corners and scallops to come out the right way. Then the rest was easy. :o) I figured I might do a mini scrapbook to put in this box, or just individual mini pages. I will have to see what comes to me in the 'future'.
Most of the supplies are from SU! unless otherwise noted...
Stamps: Eastern Blooms, Embrace Life, Baroque Motifs, Tres Chic...
Paper: Green Tea DP, Chocolate Chip, Old Olive...
Ink: Chocolate Chip, Old Olive, Baja Breeze, White Craft... blue chalk...
Embellishments: satin ribbon (Martha Stewart), Styled Silver hardware, silver rhinestones (Zva Creative), designer button...
Tools: Doily border and Oak Leaf punches (Martha Stewart), Labels One dies (Spellbinders Nestabilities), Large Oval and Slit punches, sponge dauber...
Helpful Hints: I stamped the swirls with White Craft ink then rubbed blue chalk on top with a sponge dauber... used lots of sticky tape to keep things in place... used the Slit punch on top of the cover so I can put the ribbon through it and attach to the top of the cover (under the main image)...
Thanks for looking!
