Today I checked out this site called Card Positioning Systems, and found a sketch that I really liked... They also have a blog candy going on and DT call so you might want to check it out if you haven't already...
I got this owl image from Joann... another of the $1 sets from studio g... The papers are from Michael's, The Paper Company...
1. First I dry embossed the 4" x 4" brown background with Cuttlebug's Textile embossing plate... punched the corners with SU! Ticket Corner punch... then matted that on a 4 1/8 " x 4 1/8" pink card stock... punched the corners on that too...
2. Cut a 3 1/2 "x 2 1/4" pink card stock... punched the corners and adhered that to the BG... adding gold brads in the corners...
3. Stamped the owl on white with SU! Basic Black ink... twice... cut one into a 1 8/16 x 1 8/16 square... punched the corners... cut the other one out and colored it with Copic Markers (E47-Dark Brown, G99-Olive, R22-Light Prawn, and Y17-Golden Yellow)... and mounted it on the other image with dimensionals...
4. Mounted the square on a 1 7/8 x 1 7/8 piece of brown... then on a green scallop square that I punched out with my Marvy Giga punch... added gold brads... and mounted it on the card with dimensionals...
5. Stamped the greeting with SU! Chocolate Chip ink...
6. Added green organdy ribbon (Michael's $1 bin) with a pink Prima Flower...
7. Adhered card onto a 4 1/4" x 4 1/4" white base... and added gold brads...
Thanks for looking!
