Today the challenge on SCS is to make a monochromatic card...
I made this couple of days ago so I thought I share it with you... even thought it didn't come out the best... and I just couldn't take a better picture of it...
I don't even know if you can tell, that the middle part has tissue paper on it... Nichole (capture the moment) had a great card on her blog with a tutorial and I loved it... so the technique came from there...
1. Stamped the snowflakes (Hanna-Tis the Season stamp set) with ColorBox Fluid CatsEyes Chalk inks on white (Blue Iris, French Blue and Ice Blue)... sponged the edges with brown ink (Creamy Brown)...
2. Put UHU liquid glue on top and quickly sprinkled some SU! Dazzling Diamonds on top... then crumpled a piece of white tissue paper and glued it on top...
3. Folded the tissue paper under and mounted it on a piece of Nigh Of Navy scalloped rectangle (largest Nestabilities die)...
4. Added blue rhinestones in the middle of the largest snowflakes... and stamped the word (SU! Warm Words)... which bled a little bit... I probably should have waited until the glue was totally dry underneath...
5. Mounted the main image on textured blue card stock (misc) with dimensionals...
6. Added silver rhinestones in the corners...
I am now counting the hours... not really... but there's still so much to do until Saturday morning... still wrapping presents and making more peppermint patties... and today we have a Christmas Concert-if the weather doesn't get bad...
Happy Stamping!
