Hello! We are featuring Birthday Word Art clear stamp set over at the Sweet n' Sassy Stamps Blog today, and I have couple of new cards for you... It's an awesome set with 13 large sentiments in different styles:
I decided to make a background with the words. On the first card, I heat embossed the words with white embossing powder, then sponged some colors over the whole background... to make it look distressed, I splashed water over the background. I love how bright and cheerful it looks:
The butterfly was die cut with New Beginnings Butterfly die set. The colors came from Colour Q #292 (Coastal Cabana/Pistachio Pudding, Daffodil Delight, Tangerine Tango, and Strawberry Slush/Melon Mambo).
I used the same lay-out on my next card, but I stamped the images over a water color background with black ink:
Then I die-cut the stars, from Stars die set, and popped them up with dimensional tape. The colors came from CAS-ual Fridays CFC139: Black, White, Orange, Turquoise. I am also linking these up at Seize the Birthday: Anything Goes.
Make sure you check out what some of the DT members came up with at the BLOG.
Before I go, here are some cards I made a while ago:
